The Habitat Home Store

Habitat Home Store is a major source of funds for building Habitat homes in Loudon County. Because the store is staffed almost entirely by volunteers, its overhead expenses are very low.                                             

The store provides a source of reasonably priced new and used clothing, household items, tools, and furniture for area families. We welcome your donations of gently used furniture, large and small working appliances, clothing, books, dishes, cooking utensils, flatware, sheets, towels, bedding, drapery, decorative items, baby and children’s clothing, baby beds, car seats, high chairs, toys, tools, yard maintenance equipment, office furniture and equipment, and other such items. Our 15-foot panel van is available by appointment to pick up your large donations.

Volunteers are needed to work the cash registers and sales floor, to answer the phone, and to work in the back room sorting, pricing and preparing goods for sale.

We request that you work a four-hour shift on a recurring basis so you’ll be more familiar with our store layout and procedures; however, we have flexibility to meet your schedule. Volunteers are also needed for routine maintenance and upkeep on the store and van.
